Training development follows a clear process: 

  • Analysis:  A breakdown of the Job, tasks, subtasks, and the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to execute your goal.  This can be time-consuming and represents a large percentage of all Learning and Development.  
  • Design:  Creating the content around a delivery type, with a clear story that engages your learners, and a presentation that meets your company brand. 
  • Development:  Writing the copy, creating instructor notes, formatting the content, and delivering it in the desired format (classroom, self-paced SCORM, or on-demand video). 
  • Implementation:  Launch the course through an Alpha release, then a Beta with your key stakeholders to verify the goals are being met, and then take it live! 
  • Evaluation:  Review the success using key success metrics like
    • Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)
    • Net Promoter Scores (NPS)
    • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) analyzed
